Art Journey
We’ll meet once a week over the course of 4 weeks, with each session focused on guiding you through a complete creative project—from start to finish.
I’ve curated 6 inspiring projects—3 are pre-planned, and 3 are flexible, giving us space to follow group interests or spontaneous inspiration.
Every project blends creativity, mindfulness, and self-expression. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity!
About
Hi, I’m Anya — a passionate artist, creative guide, and founder of Poodle Moth Studio. With a background in graphic design and a lifelong love of creative expression, my work spans across painting, illustration, and mask-making.
B.A. in Graphic Design, Salem State University
I believe everyone has the power to express themselves through art, and my classes are designed to support that journey. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just picking up a brush for the first time, you're warmly welcome. My sessions are all about relaxing, exploring your creativity, and enjoying the process in a welcoming, no-pressure space.
Let’s create together — every Thursday night!
You’ll find a few samples of my work below—a glimpse...
Sessions
Each week, we’ll dive into one complete project—designed to inspire, challenge, and nurture your creativity.
Out of the six possible projects, we’ll complete four during the 4-week course.
Three projects are pre-planned, and the remaining two will be voted on by the group so you can help shape the experience!
Fantasy Nature – Observation Meets Imagination
We will practice observation, sketching, and memory-based painting, but with imaginative freedom.
No pressure while building confidence
Fragmented Perspectives I – Still Life in Four Views
We apply our observational skills across multiple views.
Think in parts and wholes
Painted Persona – Portrait Through Still Life
Here, technical skill ramps up a bit with portrait construction and emotional storytelling through color. We will work with mood and reference, pushing our conceptual and figurative skills.
Something completely different
Stone Meditation – Painting Emotion Through Object
Emotion-driven and abstract, this class demands introspection, symbolic thinking, and expressive composition. It’s less about realism and more about communicating inner states.
Just breathe...
The Mask – Identity, Emotion, and Found Materials
A powerful culmination. This project brings in mixed media, storytelling, character building, and creative freedom. It’s tactile, theatrical, and expressive—a celebration of everything learned.
Celebrate!
Fragmented Perspectives II – Depth & Storytelling
This builds on Fragmented Perspectives I, focusing more on symbolism, narrative, and unity. We will think thematically and begin expressing more personal ideas across our canvases.
Confidence!
